These grits include small flecks of corn bran, which is a sign that you’re eating bona fide stone-ground grits. For extra creamy grits, use 1 cup grits, 1 cup water, 4 cups milk, half a pound butter, 1 teaspoon coarse ground pepper, and 1 teaspoon salt. Incorporate all ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and stir frequently for 20 to 30 minutes.
