Sweets Elderberry
Stephanie Rickenbaker started selling elderberry syrup to a “Charlotte Mom’s” Facebook group in 2016, and it quickly became a bigger venture. Aussie Select
Jaclyn Glatzer took a leap in December 2019, becoming one of the founders of the company World Select Cuts. Soon after, she launched the brand Aussie Select, revolutionizing the lamb industry. Aussie Select’s purpose is to make lamb more accessible and affordable on a national scale, offering a variety of options, from pre-sliced meat to flavored whole lamb roasts.
Southern Art Co.
Authentic Korean flavors meet Southern flair in Southern Art Co., founded by a mother-and-daughter duo. Kelly Woo grew up in South Korea and moved to Georgia, where her love for creating cuisine with Korean and Southern flavors began as she made sauces to send to her daughter, Hannah Yee, while she was away in college. For 30 years, they have brought joy to dishes with southern seasonings and small artisan hot sauces created for friends and family.
Birdie's Pimento Cheese
Birdie’s Pimento Cheese is stored in hundreds of locations across the United States, and the business ships out around a thousand tubs of cheese a week to loyal customers. The journey started for Robin Allen at Virginia’s South Hill farmers market, where she initially sold her homemade pimento cheese. What began as a fun hobby, quickly turned into a significant business venture, allowing her to share the cheesy goodness that everyone loves.
Rainbow Trout Kitchen
Inspired by a family fishing trip where granola was the go-to fishing snack for eight-year-old Peter Bowles, Rainbow Trout Kitchen was born. When they returned from their trip, Peter quickly got to work creating the perfect granola, sharing it with friends, family, and locals for the next 10 years. When he left for college, his mother, Jakie Bowles, and her friend Ashley Wallace bought the business from him. They have since continuously grown the business, selling Rainbow Trout Kitchen across the country.
Barlow's Foods
Inspired by family tradition and the love of food, Tiffani Neal set out to make a pancake mix that is simple and is made from whole ingredients. Barlow’s Food is inspired by Neal’s grandfather, Arthur “Barlow” Harris, who had a passion for all things agriculture. The business offers seasonal syrups, and 3-in-1 pancake, biscuit, and waffle mix, which is aluminum-free and crafted with organic unbleached flour.
