To celebrate National Peanut Month, we're sharing a Southern sipper that's steeped in history from Bumpas Charleston. In the early 1900s, blue-collar workers often caught themselves with dirty hands from a day's work when lunchtime rolled around. To improvise, they poured peanuts in their Coke bottle so they could easily sip and snack at the same time. The surprisingly delicious combination caught on in rural communities and is still a cherished treat for many today.
