Blood orange makes a bright and bold addition to the classic cocktail, the margarita. This recipe uses Liber & Co. Blood Orange Cordial to elevate the cocktail's citrus notes and give it a rich, sunset-orange hue. Based in Texas, Liber & Co. uses real fruits and house-made syrups to create their line of cordials that put premium ingredients first.
Ingredients
1½ ounces tequila
¾ ounces Liber & Co. Blood Orange Cordial
¾ ounces fresh lime juice
½ ounce orange liqueur
¼ ounce Campari (optional)
Garnish: lime wedge
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail tin with ice; seal and shake vigorously until a frost forms around outside of cocktail tin.
Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and garnish with lime wedge.
