Week-Long Artisan Bread Camp


If you are an amateur artisan baker who wants to take his or her skills to the next level, be sure to take a look at this five-day Artisan Bread Camp (held in Anchorage, KY). It's an intensive experience that will immerse you in artisan baking through the creation of eight styles of bread. Spots fill up quickly, so don't wait!

The Artisan Bread Camp will meet Monday through Wednesday 9am to 4pm, Thursday 8am to 4pm, and Friday 7am to 11:30am. Every day we will make different breads while discussing and developing the theory behind what we do. In addition to discussions about wood ovens, milling grains, and baking, we will be making these exciting breads:

  • Sourdough Focaccia, with Focaccia variation
  • Sourdough Country Loaves with Variations, allowing you to be creative to design your own add in to the classic Country Loaves
  • Ciabatta (a classic Italian loaf) Demonstration on Ciabatta Rolls
  • Firing traditional Neapolitan pizza dough
  • Sourdough English Muffins made with sourdough and a preferment
  • Discussions of Ancient and Sprouted Grain Breads (Rye, Spelt, Heritage Turkey Red Wheat, etc.)
  • Sourdough Bagels
  • Commercial baking, focusing on mixing, shaping and baking 40+ loaves
