Mushroom Herb Salt
This Mushroom Her Salt is the product of a collaboration between George Patterson of Hernshaw Farms and J.Q. Dickinson Salt-Works. Patterson grows mushrooms on reclaimed mine land in West Virginia and helps create farmland with his compost. The mushrooms are dried and ground before being mixed into the salt. Locally grown rosemary and thyme are added along with a hint of black pepper as a finishing touch. The combo makes a delicious seasoning for hamburgers, steaks, and grilled vegetables.
