Day-Long Intro to Sourdough Class

Want to get hands-on knowledge on baking with natural leaven? This class is for you! Taking place in Anchorage, KY, you'll begin by creating an artisan sourdough country loaf that you will mix, knead, and shape by hand. This artisan bread class will focus on proper hand kneading skills along with baking techniques and advice for maintaining your own sourdough starter at home. You'll bake a sample loaf of bread and learn about scoring, so you'll understand how a finished loaf should look and feel. You will take home the two loaves of sourdough bread you make in class to bake the next day in addition to a loaf that you baked and scored during class. The class ends with a family-style dinner of assorted MozzaPi pizza, fired in their wood oven.
