The Boardsmith

Walnut Cutting Board | The Boardsmith

$150

For the past ten years, the Boardsmith has been revered as one of the most admired makers of butcher blocks, including this smaller walnut cutting board. The company’s reputation has been hard-built, beginning with an uncompromising approach to both quality and craftsmanship.

Smaller and lighter in weight, the Sidekick boards make a great companion to The Boardsmith’s large cutting boards. Of the three hardwoods used by the Boardsmith, walnut arguably has the highest 'Wow!' factor. In terms of durability, it has the perfect balance of scratch resistance and is forgiving on knife edges. This walnut cutting board, like all of the Boardsmith’s boards, only get better with age and wear. The wood features deep chocolate tones with lighter streaks of sapwood.

Prior to shipping, each butcher block is sanded smooth, given a deep soak in the Boardsmith’s pharmacy-grade mineral oil vat for 30-plus minutes, dried overnight, and then buffed carefully with Boardsmith Board Butter.

The Boardsmith cutting boards are designed and made right here in the United States and make for the perfect gift for others or for yourself. They’re made with the highest quality hardwoods and Titebond III glue, which is EPA approved, food safe, and waterproof. Their design makes them functional and beautiful for celebratory cheese boards, chopping, or serving.
